You should visit a dentist at least two times per year. People with conditions like diabetes or with orthodontic braces may need to visit a dentist more often depending upon their oral health.
There are certain signs which will indicate that it’s time for a visit to your dentist. They are

  7. If you have an ulcer or any painful lesion in your mouth
  1. You should brush your teeth twice a day (After waking up from sleep in the morning and before going to bed at night)
  2. Floss your teeth regularly
  3. Change your toothbrush every three or four months
  4. Rinse your mouth properly after every meal
  5. Stop smoking cigarettes
